Makedonia in Heidelberg

I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. I'm looking forward to the next visit.

Food very tasty. Price-performance ratio fits! BUT: The corona rules are NOT observed! The landlord wears his mask on his chin, and the waitress does not always wear them, and when they do, only cover his mouth. Guests move freely in the room without a mask and for my opinion the tables were too narrow! The regulatory office should check there!

We have been coming here for about 25 years, always delicious food, great grill dishes and very good starters. The service is very friendly and professional, you can tell that it is a family-run business. We always like to come back. For us the best Yugoslav in the Heidelberg area.

Very good food. Service could have been better. When counting what should be on my bill, the lady left before I was finished.

We went to eat there on a Saturday evening without a reservation. Although there were apparently two other family celebrations in addition to a wedding, we got a table. The food was delicious and plentiful. The price / performance ratio is more than okay. I have to subtract one star, because we had to wait a long time until our order was even taken (they also noticed a mistake among the waiters), we had to change the table (incorrect instruction) and the lukewarm food (the taste is still okay, therefore not objected). The next time I'm in Heidelberg, I'll give the restaurant the chance to get the last star again.

Very good food. Prices fair. At lunchtime you can eat a la carte or buffet. Very nice team. Outside, when the weather is good, you sit really quiet.

Here you could also display one more star, a super delicious meal is served here. We were there on two evenings in a row (Saturday and Sunday) without a table reservation, were served nicely and promptly. Simply great. Should I come here again, I will definitely stop there.

I went to eat here as my aunt was celebrating her birthday there. I have to admit I haven't eaten as well as I did in this restaurant in a long time. The atmosphere is very nice, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent, and the price is also very fair. I would 100% eat here again.

Very tasty food, at a good value for money. A very meat-heavy selection, but also vegetarian dishes. Nice staff, classic sports hall ambience. Unfortunately a bit long waiting times .. (maybe exception).

Altogether, a good place. "Cevapcici" in this restaurant are not acceptable, because this does not have anything with original Cevapcici from Serbia/Macedonia/Bosnia! This was disappointment. As well, they are served just for the taste of German people (djuvec rice and pommes) which is not the case with original Cevapcici, which are served with bread (somun) and onion. Other than this, food is ok, we had some "Raznjici" that were just good, and some "Schnitzel" that was good as well. So if you come from ExYugoslavia, then just don't order Cevapcici, you will be very disappointed! Service is great, ambient fine, places inside, places outside. Good for corona time as well.

An institution! I ate here 35 years ago and did it very regularly. Now, in 25 years, I was here again for the first time and what can I say: time has stood still! In the positive! It's just as delicious as it was back then, the portions just as big and the waiters just as funny and friendly! I am happy to have "rediscovered" you (I haven't lived in HD for 25 years! :-)

For many years now, when we are in Heidelberg, we have been guests at the Makedonia. It is always an experience to dine there. Best service and very deliciously prepared dishes. We can highly recommend it.

Very good restaurant. Doesn't matter from the outside, but is pleasantly decorated on the inside, with a beautiful terrace. The food is fantastic, partly from the grill. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. Large portions at very good prices. Starter, main course, dessert and two glasses of Macedonian wine for € 33? It doesn't get any better.

Very good old a Balkan restaurant, Macedonian origin. Very tasty generous portions, attentive staff and very friendly. I would love to come back. The new Pelagoniga platter is highly recommended and offers everything you could want in a grilled dish.

Really nice place

What an amazing dinner. The meal was excellent. I ordered the salmon and my boyfriend the Veal. Both were perfect. After dinner they gave us a appertiff of brandy , called a yashaslanger, and I know I just destroyed that :) They all took time to say their goodbyes as we left which made it feel personal. I would go back to this restaurant. Very friendly. And the spinach potatoes are a simple clean side dish which I loved. My boyfriend ordered a spitke(?) Which is OJ and coke. Sounds strange but oddly enough works.

Delicious, well priced food. Huge selection on menu, and the waiter went above and beyond to help. Also fantastic for tourists as english is written and well spoken.

I noticed this small restaurant on Google maps and fortunately clicked on it to see the menu. It looked affordable and had great selections. When we finally got to Germany we made our way there. It was FANTASTIC! We had an authentic German experience that is difficult to beat. Family friendly, clean, white table cloths, the BEST food, and awesome Friendly staff. WE WILL BE BACK!

Nice salads and food

We called on a Saturday at 11 and reserved a table for 15 people at 1pm on the same day. Everything worked wonderfully. The service was very nice, child friendly and entertaining. The food was wonderful too. You can not complain about the prices either. We will be back definitely.

Value for money even after the revamp of the menu (after seven years with no price changes, if was time). Nice people working there so take the trouble to remember their clients.
